my mission is to be
a catalyst for good.

hiya! i'm elena

The first time I tried yoga, I hated it.

I didn’t understand the language, I had no idea if I was doing anything “right”, and I felt uncomfortable, confused and like it just wasn't for me.

Thankfully, I gave it another go.

This time, I found a teacher who made me feel welcome. She was kind, warm, encouraging and made me feel I belonged even when I had no clue what I was doing!  Once we got to the end of class, savasana/ "grown-up nap time", I was hooked.

I knew I wanted to share that feeling with other people.

So, in March 2014, I officially became a yoga teacher.

From sunset yoga on the beach in San Diego, California, to corporate headquarters in London, I loved bringing yoga to people who might never have walked into a yoga studio.

Then 2020 happened, and like so many people, my way of working changed.

After commuting all over London for 5 hours a day, I was suddenly gifted the experience of teaching yoga from home.

I've fallen in love with growing my gorgeous yoga community across 9 time zones. Sharing laughter, virtual hugs and yoga goodness all from my flat in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Ten years after I started teaching, I became a yoga teacher trainer.

It's one of the greatest honours of my life.

My trainees are people who want to:

  • Be knowledgeable and kind yoga teachers

  • Explain things in relatable terms to their students

  • Teach all bodies, not just one body type

  • Understand that yoga is about far more than fancy yoga poses.

  • Make someone think:

"Oh. Maybe I do belong here."

that's really what all of this is about.

To make yoga feel welcoming, useful and accessible.

You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to know your Warrior I from your Warrior II. And you definitely don’t need to be able to do a headstand.

I’ll give you plenty of guidance, but I also want you to learn how to listen to your own body, find what feels good for you and have a bit of fun along the way.

I created the lovely catalyst because I believe we all have the potential to create positive ripples

in our own lives, in our communities and in the wider world.

Yoga is my favourite place to start.

So if you’re new to yoga, a little intimidated by the usual yoga scene, convinced you’re too inflexible, or simply a kind, big-hearted person who needs somewhere to switch off for a while- this is the place for you.

Welcome. I'm really glad you're here.
